All Winters End

Justice may be blind
But rest assured she knows your face
Every cowardly contour
As you mask your cruelty behind the law
Beyond the powered halls
And powdered wigs of men with slaves
Men like war wait in the wings
To swallow your entire being
Vengeance be thy final plague
For those consciences gone cold
For those shadows left to cast
Gallows you have built yourselves
Truth will flow from open mouths
Torrential instead of meted out
Melting pot made boiling now
Know that verdict is coming down
No craven act will pass away
From the memory before these graves
And there are no bones that will forgive
The symbols you are drawing here
Allusions but not illusory
These graven images portrayed
Portents of generational betrayal
Treason worn red on every head
Fascism draped by Betsy Ross
A refrain of stars with stripes for some
Built on scarred backs that bleed the same
Kept beneath Liberty's sons
All too familiar displays
For those already underfoot
Yet you'd use your tongue to shine the boot
Aimed squarely toward your neck
Winding back wheels to seek a fiction
To find utopia in ages past
Rewinding progress despite friction
No matter who is in your path
And when at last blind Justice meets you
And on your heels you run away
And on your knees you plea before her
Remember that she knows your face
Fuck Ice (All Winters End)
