No Such Thing

Aching, yawning, panging void

Arcing thunder, deep, deployed

Agonized response and call

Pinging off these gilded walls

Tower, yearning, gaping maw

Hunger, frothing, gobbled up

Gears beneath brought to a halt

Mirrors reflecting desperate thoughts

Memories of meals, left thirsty

Release, an animal to chase

Fires on an altar burning

Wax to drip upon my face

Faith to feed, a sin unchanging

A son bespoke for yonder moon

Elements of spatial, chasing

Marquee crying, coming soon

Stretching out, spaghettifying

Spread thin over too much bread

Death defying, braying, sighing

Deifying you, inside my head

Haste in haunted halls left empty

Hurried into chambers cold

I'd pray for scraps of deeper warming

Bend these bones for straw of gold

In old displays, forever wandering

Flowers prick, and petals press

Paintings dainty, deft caressing

In hopes of offering my neck

Sawing, walking, dreams of splendor

Hefty, weight, and lick-wet jaws

A goddess's teeth, thick for rending

Hard as velvet, soft as stone

Mouth of madness, now descending

Crown of thorns to nail me down

Sat upon her throne unending

Hear the Monarch crying out

Marvel below, embracing, sundered

Made as one, and cast to dust

Sharpened as a blade, a wonder

Left beneath the dawn, to rust

Love alabaster, forging idols

Captured in the fog of war

Craving craven vile vices

Taut between your loving arms

Lustful, leading, Will receding

Ego, fleeing, lost at sea

Dissolved into the greater motion

No such thing as you or me

Or you and I, to be pedantic

Farther, drawing, dance romantic

Hectic host now almost manic

As unity consumes us whole

Drawn upon, these walls are caving

Venus figure, rock re-shaping

Loosing rubble, falling, quaking

Lost in the subduction zone

With devil's details, mental, racing

Wickedness worth all the waiting

In your eyes, anticipating

Punishment and crime worth aiding

Abetting now in dark devotion

In deepest recess of your ocean

A tangled, torrid, lurid scene

Of limbs, and lips, and other things

Left to imaginations, leering

In jaunt, in jest, in jeer or cheering

And firmly on the tips of tongues

Hard as whispers, soft as bone

Machinations of capitulation

Caught up in clouds of true elation

As trumpets sound, and devil's sing

No such thing as you and me

No Such Thing
