Hush

I split these neurons in a huff
A spiritual hush
Spilling out of the back of my head
Interconnected
Vivid vines interwoven
An embarrassment of riches
A devil's delight
All fire and smoking
Hungry lines intersecting
Diverged prospecting
Expecting a kind of divine redemption
A parting of the waters
A meeting of the minds
And thoughts
The hands of God
And a galloping heart
Break for me upon the shoreline
Tangled in a fisher's net
Thick with lust and desperate torment
Make for me a beastly nest
Descend upon this mountaintop
I have waited patiently for rain
For the Goddess's mouth to open up
And my cup to runneth o'er
We may paint such daring colors
Only if we seek the truth
Under skin and locked in towers
Walls must fall for me and you
What part of this occluded secret?
This hidden delicate refrain
Is so elusive as I wander
Through lyrics bleeding from my brain?
Built of Heaven's worldly splendor
A contradiction, imperfect piece
It fits together all the same
Begging for a true release
For a death most equal
A moment without ego
Where I go, you go, we go
Up in smoke
Into the endless skies within
Your eyes, your sin
Uncovered and
Never unclean
We may dare ourselves to dream
Of atoms lost in voids of dust
Now gathering like a storm
Accreting like the world itself
Migratory stories linger
Across memories of a flowered love
Not possessed of any human being
But a fire like plutonium
I peer beneath and see an angel
I walk with you and hear a song
I seek with you a deeper measure
I haunt you like a ghost 'til dawn
A second sight
A far-flung secret
A sacrament
Between us both
For a life most lived
A truer love
Where I go, you go, we go
Interconnected
Hush
